South African Airways Online Booking & Flight Specials
A large airline based in South Africa, SAA has been going since 1930 and continues to connect people across the planet with their flights. You can take an SAA flight from Lagos to almost anywhere in the world.
Tickets, identity documents and passports are required from all passengers. Visas may be required as well depending on your destination.
There are many options for you to check in. You can use the traditional check-in service, or skip the queues and use the self-check-in or online check-in services. These are only available at certain airports so be sure to check that out beforehand.
Check-in online up to 24 hours before your flight. Lagos is on the list of airports that allow online check-in.
Lounges can be found at many of the airports, for passengers to relax or work if need be.
South African Airways do not offer domestic flights inside Nigeria.
SAA flights connect Nigeria to South Africa, as well other places in Africa and across the globe.
Baggage allowance varies on where you are flying to and the class in which you are flying. The average, however, for Business class is two pieces of luggage at no more than 32 kgs each; and for Economy class you are allowed one piece of luggage weighing no more than 23 kgs.
Passengers flying in Business class may bring two pieces of luggage on board, providing they do not exceed a weight of 8 kgs each. Economy class passengers are permitted one piece of luggage weighing no more than 8kg. Additionally, all passengers may have one personal item such as a handbag or laptop bag. A passenger travelling with an infant will be allowed to bring a collapsible stroller as well.
Any baggage exceeding the allowed amount will be charged for. Any luggage that weighs more than 32 kgs will be considered cargo and will be charged at cargo rates. No more than 3 bags per passenger is allowed.
