About IMO Airline
The airline launched in January 2017 and took to the skies in April 2017. It is in partnership with Dana Air that the Nigerian state, Imo, managed to launch their very own airline. They are new but building fast, and feel ready to take on their competitor airlines such as Arik Air.
With Imo airlines being backed by Dana Air, a leading airline in Nigeria known for its service and safety, they will soon head to the top of the industry alongside their partners.
General Flight Information
Travel documents
Documents needed to travel are, as usual, your ticket and boarding pass, your identity documents with photographic evidence of your identity, and your passport. There are no international flights so you are unlikely to need a Visa.
Check-in
Check-in opens two hours before departure of the plane and closes 25 minutes before take-off. Passengers need to be present and checked-in before the gates close, otherwise, they will not be able to board the plane.
Online Check-In
You can check-in online using the Dana Air website. This will save you time that you otherwise would have spent standing in check-in queues. You will need to print out your boarding pass before arriving at the airport.
Business Class Lounges
There does not seem to currently be a business lounge available for Imo Air.
Domestic Flights
Imo airlines offer regularly scheduled flights to and from Abuja, Benin, Lagos, Sokoto as well as other major states in the Federation.
International Flights
There are currently no international flights offered with Imo airlines.

IMO Airline Baggage Policy
Checked in baggage
Checked-in baggage should be locked securely, as the airline takes no responsibility for any luggage that is lost or damaged before, during, or after the flight.
Free baggage allowance
Passengers flying Economy class are allowed to take one bag weighing no more than 23 kgs, and Business class may check in one bag limited to a weight of 30 kgs. A passenger flying with an Infant may check in one additional bag for the baby, which may not weigh more than 10 kgs.
Excess baggage
All excess baggage will be charged for at a fee per kilo.
Cabin or Hand Baggage
All passengers, in all flight classes, are permitted on the carry-on bag not weighing more than 6 kgs.
