Routes

Dana Air operates out its main hub at Murtala Mohammed Airport Terminal 2, as well as smaller hubs in Lagos and Port Harcourt. From these hubs, flights are run to all corners of Nigeria, landing in Abuja, Ibom, and Nnamdi Azikiwe.

Fleet

The airline has a fleet of 5 passenger aircraft, with three McDonnell Douglas MD-83s, one McDonnell Douglas MD-81, as well as a Boeing B737-500.

Checking In

One is required to check in, you will not be allowed through security to the boarding gate until you have checked in. When checking in, a passenger is required to provide a valid and current photo identification document. This same document will also be needed at the boarding gate.

Face-to-face check in the airport at the Dana Air counter opens two hours before your flight’s departure time. For domestic flights, check-in closes 25 before departure. For international flights, check-in closes 60 minutes before departure.

Online check-in opens 24 hours before departure. If you have checked-in online, you must arrive at the Dana Air check-in counter with your boarding pass and a currently valid photo identification document. This must be done no less than thirty minutes before departure.

If you fail to present yourself for check-in before the stipulated time, you may not be able to check-in or board your flight. In such cases, you will not be entitled to any refund or compensation.

Boarding The Flight

You are required to present yourself at the boarding gate no less than 10 minutes before departure. Here you will need your boarding pass and a currently valid photo identification document.

Dana Air Baggage Policy

Checked Baggage

Dana Airlines provides passengers with a free checked baggage allowance. Economy passengers are permitted 23 kg (51 lbs) each, while First Class and Business Class passengers are permitted 30 kg (66 lbs). Infants not taking up seats are permitted 10 kg (22 lbs).

If your baggage exceeds your free checked baggage allowance, you will need to pay an excess baggage fee. This amount rises along with the weight of your bag. The heavier your bag, the more you will pay. This fee will be paid at the airport.

Cabin or Hand Baggage

Each passenger is permitted one item of hand luggage. This item will follow the passenger into the cabin, remaining accessible. This item cannot weigh more than 6 kg (13 lbs), and must not be larger than 45 cm x 33 cm x 20 cm.

Additionally, passengers may carry a small laptop bag, purse, or handbag into the cabin. If you exceed the cabin baggage limit, your cabin baggage will be placed with the checked baggage and count against your free checked baggage allowance.
