Domestic travellers will need relevant photo Identification, while international flyers will need a passport and in some cases a visa.
Check-in can be conducted at the Arik Air check-in counters. Your check in window will open: 2 hours before a domestic flight, 3 hours before a regional flight, and 4 hours before an international flight.
You must have checked in before your flight’s specified check-in window closes. If you miss your check-in window, you will not be allowed to board the flight. No compensation will be provided to passengers who miss their flight. Check-in windows close: half an hour before Domestic Flights, 45 min before Regional Flights, and 1 hour 30 min before International Flights.
You will be required to present your ticket, as well as other specified documentation at the check-in counter. These documents are specified at the time of booking. If you fail to produce these documents, you may be refused access to the boarding area.
Business Class Lounges
Arik Air has four dedicated business class lounges: the ASL Premium Lounge in Lagos, The Shongololo Lounge in Johannesburg, The Skyteam Lounge in London, and the KLM Oasis Lounge in New York.
ASL Premium Lounge can be found in the Lagos Murtala Muhammed International Airport. The lounge includes a well stocked bar, a range of light snacks, television, and bathroom facilities including showers.
Arik Air fly to all corners of Nigeria with flights touching down in: Kaduna, Abuja, Yola, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Asaba, Kano, Warri, Lagos, Benin City, and Sokoto. So, no matter where you need to go, Arik Air should have you covered.
The flight routes are, however, centered around Lagos and Abuja. This means that you may have to catch a connecting flight to Lagos or Abuja on your way to your destination. This is more common on less popular routes.
Arik Air routes also go beyond Nigeria’s border, connecting West and Central Africa. The airline has flights from Nigeria to: Abidjan in Ivory Coast, Accra in Ghana, Banjul in Gambia, Dakar in Senegal, Douala in Cameroon, and Freetown in Côte d’Ivoire.

Arik Air's Baggage Policy
Checked in baggage
Free baggage allowance
You are allowed 1 free item of checked baggage. If you check in multiple items, excess baggage fees will apply.
Your checked baggage should not exceed 30 kilograms/66 pounds. Excess baggage fees will apply to items that exceed this weight restriction.
There is no free checked baggage allowed for infants. Please stick to hand luggage for infants unless you are willing to pay excess baggage fees.
If you exceed the free baggage allowance, you will be subject to the excess baggage charge. This varies, depending on how and to what extent you have exceeded the free baggage allowance.
Excess baggage fees can be paid at the airport in the local currency. Please note that excess baggage is accepted subject to space on the flight. There is no guarantee that excess baggage will make it onto the flight.
Cabin or Hand Baggage
Arik Air allows one piece of luggage. This item must remain under the weight and size restrictions. If it exceeds these specifications it will be transferred to checked baggage. You will incur excess baggage fees if this piece of hand luggage means that you exceed the free checked baggage allowance.
Hand luggage must be smaller than 55cm x 35cm x 25cm. Furthermore, it must meet weight restrictions. Domestic flights have hand luggage weight restrictions of 6 kg, while international flights have restrictions of 12kg.
