British Airways Online Booking & Flight Specials
British Airways is old airline, established in 1974. It has since been the United Kingdom’s flag carrier (national airline) and is the land’s largest passenger carrying airline in terms of fleet size.
With Regards to Nigeria, British Airways run international flights to Abuja and Lagos, but do not fly domestically between Nigerian airports. These flights are direct, landing at Heathrow Airport in London, England.
Before moving through security you are required to check-in. Once you have checked in you will receive your boarding pass, a document needed to drop off any checked baggage and board the airplane. One can check in Online, With our app, or At the airport
You can book online at the British Airways website 24 hours before your flight departs. This is done on the Manage My Booking tab. Once you have checked in either download, print, or email your boarding pass.
Losing your boarding pass is not a major problem. A replacement can be printed at the airport’ British Airways check-in counter.
The app can be downloaded for mobile, or Apple products such as their watch and iPad. It allows you to check in 24 hours before your flight, much like the website.
Once checked in, the app has a clever boarding pass saving feature that can save up to 8 people’s boarding passes, including a connecting or return flight.
Another option is to check in at the airport. You will need to find the British Airways Check-In Kiosk. There you will need to present your booking reference or a form of identification to receive your boarding pass
Once you have your boarding pass, you can drop your baggage off at the bag drop desk or check-in kiosk. If you do not need to check-in baggage, move through security to your boarding gate.
Checked baggage is restricted by volume, weight and size restrictions. Any checked baggage that exceeds these restrictions is subject to an excess baggage fee.
With regards to size, checked baggage can be up to 90 x 75 x 43cm (35.5in x 29.5in x 16in). This includes everything including handles and wheels.
With regards to weight and volume, adults, children, and infants are subject to different restrictions. Adults (12yrs +) are allowed 2 items of checked baggage, both of which must be under 23kg (51lbs).
Children (2yrs – 11 rs) subject to the same restrictions as adults, but can also board with a stroller and car seat.
Finally, Infants (0 yrs – 2 yrs) are only allowed 1 bag, which must weigh under 23kg (51lbs). Like children, infants are allowed to board with a stroller and car seat.
Besides checked baggage, passengers on British Airways flights traveling to or from Nigeria are also given the option of carrying 2 items of hand luggage into the cabin with them – 1 hand/laptop bag and 1 additional hand luggage item.
For adults and children, both hand luggage items must be under 40cm x 30cm x 15cm (16in x 12in x 6in) in size and weigh under 23kg (51lb). On the other hand, infants are allowed 1 item of hand luggage that is smaller than 56cm x 45cm x 25cm (22in x 18in x 10in) and weighs less than 23kg (51lb).
Any cabin baggage that exceeds your restrictions will be placed with checked baggage and work against your checked baggage restrictions
If your checked baggage exceeds your allowance, you will be charged an excess baggage fee that rises with the weight of your bag.
